5、科室建设情况
“十五”期间，医院适应业务发展与管理的需要，采取了一系列加强科室建设的措施，使绝大多数临床科室和职能科室充分发挥了科室管理职能作用。主要临床科室进行了分组，大致确定了专业方向，并按梯队要求配置了人员。目前全院共有一级临床科室7个，医技科室4个，行政职能科室5个。对科室领导班子均通过公开竞争、择优录用，使科室领导能力得到了加强。内科、外科、妇产科、检验科、放射科、功能科等一大批临床医技科室生机勃勃，效益显著。特别是加强了重点专科的建设，在肿瘤科为县级重点建设科室后，医院在人才培养、科室宣传给予重点扶持。
6、技术发展情况
“十五”期间，医院技术服务能力在整体上有了明显的提高。一是能够及时有效地诊治各种常见病、多发病，并在疑难杂症、危重病人的诊断救治方面积累了较多成功的经验，收治病种范围进一步扩大，危重病人比例显著提高。二是新技术新项目引进能力明显增强。“十五”期间，医院成功开展了肺癌、食道癌根治术及各种肿瘤的放射、介入、手术、康复等，颅内血肿清除术，超声乳化白内障治疗术，子宫全切，盆腔清扫术，全膀胱切除术以及腹腔镜等现代化的仪器设备的检查治疗服务，这些新技术、新项目的开展已经成为我院医疗服务的支撑技术。
7、教学科研情况
在教学方面，“十五”期间我院承担的实****教学任务，如东卫生学校带教实****人数增加到每年50多人。教学管理制度体系初步形成。此外我们还承担了下级医院医务人员的进修培训任务，每年接收进修培训
