with lumbar disc herniation. Methods: Seventy-two patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected and treated in Affiliated Hospital
of Guangdong Medical University from March 2019 to March 2020. According to the random number table method, they were divided
into the observation group and the control group, with 36 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with acupuncture and
moxibustion combined with TCM fumigation, while the control group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion alone. Clinical
efficacy, inflammatory factor levels, visual analogue scale (VAS), oswestry disability index (ODI) and Japanese orthopaedic assoiation
scores (JOA) scores were compared between the two groups. Results: In the control group, there were 9 ineffective cases, 19 effective
cases and 8 cases of significant effect; in the observation group, there were 2 ineffective cases, 20 effective cases and 14 cases of significant
