II ABSTRACT Support of RS and GIS , in this paper two sensing image s of the Xiaoqing River Basin was disposed by ERDAS Arcgis software .A nalysis obtained the Xiaoqing River Basin land use and land cover statistics. Basing on the land classification and the landscape ecology principle, and according to actual condition of the study area, the landscape evaluation were selected to analyze the landscape structure of the Xiaoqing River Basin . According to the actual situation of the Xiaoqing River Basin landscape evaluation selected the study area landscape pattern analysis. Using the selected landscape metrics software FRAGSTATS quantitative calculation of these indicators in the results in EXCEL. Analysis obtained: the Xiaoqing River Basin is rich in landscape, farmland dominated landscape, followed by grass. Patch shape was significantly affected by human activities, embodied in the grass, the shape index greater than other landscape types. Of human activities on landscape spatial structure has strong ties to the intensification of human activities will enhance the degree of landscape fragmentation.
