Methods A total of munity health centers were collected from 19 centers affiliated by Longgang Central Hospital by random sampling. Through the Shenzhen Maternal and Children Health Management System , the data and statement of the children with anemia in the recent two years in munity health centers were retrieved , and the annual management rate of children with anemia and effective management rate were obtained. In addition , through the self-made anemia awareness table , the parents of registered children with anemia were followed-up by telephone. According to the scores , there were three situations of "good awareness" , "moderate awareness" and "no awareness". The results of "good awareness" and "moderate awareness" were considered as parents' awareness to anemia. According to its proportion , the parents' awareness rate of anemia could be obtained.
