Abstract: Urban utility tunnel is limited by its functional requirements and has the characteristics
of dense branches. When the access user of the urban utility tunnel branch is an existing building,
the construction site is limited and the current construction method can not be directly used for
construction. Based on the study on branch construction characteristics, a branch construction
method of urban utility tunnel under limited space environment is proposed, and its feasibility and
rationality are analyzed. The practical engineering application shows that this method has the
advantages of high construction safety, short construction period and low cost and so on.
