态ous about maths. Every time I tried to work out a maths problem, I was afraid of making mistakes, which made me helpless. It was a mercy that I met a nice maths teacher. She told me that I needn’t be afraid of making mistakes and only by making mistakes can I find my shortcomings. "Just try again!" she encouraged me. I was moved and followed her advice. After that, I made rapid progress in maths. As the saying goes, failure is the mother of success. I became aware that we can make progress as long as we learn lessons from the mistakes.

In a word, making mistakes is not a horrible thing. With an active attitude, we can make full use of mistakes to achieve self-improvement.
We may not be able to do better than everyone else to be Number One, but we are able to improve ourselves all the time. Those who are always trying to improve themselves are the real heroes.

I always hold the view that it is not the result but the meaningful process that is of great significance. As a matter of fact, not everyone can be ; however, we can also taste the sweet of being if we improve ourselves every day.
I can still remember a case when I was in Grade 1. Driven by the strong desire to succeed, I studied day and night but just couldn’t live up to my high expectations. How heart-broken I was at that time. Later, things turned out to be right when I came to realize that I focused so much attention on the result that I even overlooked the great progress I had made. Finally I took the heavy load off my mind and achieved what I had expected.
