Should parents send their kids to art classes?

Recently there has been much discussion as to the desirablity of parents sending their kids to various art classes. Generally, there are two camps of views on this phenomenon.
Some parents believe that childhood is the golden time for developing artistic talents in their children. A friend of mine told me that he wants his son to e a pianist like Langlang. “But if my son does not start from an early age, it’s only an unachievable dream,” he exclaimed. So he sends his five-year-old kid to piano classes every Saturday, rain or shine. Others however voiced a different opinion. Their main argument is that attending art classes will impair the health of these children, who have toiled for five days at school. To materialize their parents’ dream, many kids have to burn the candle at both ends.
Personally, I am not in favor of sending all kids to art classes. As a proverb goes, “Love is the best teacher.” Parents should first of all find out whether their kids love the art or not. You can lead a horse to a river, but can you make him drink? (188 words)
