In order for technology to make a real difference in education，teachers must recognize be prepared to deal with them.
教育技术能够在教育中真正地发挥作用，关键是教师能够真正地理解如何将技术应用于教学中。
Integrating educational technology refers to the process of determining which electronic tools and which methods for implementing them are appropriate for given classroom situations and problem.
所谓的技术与课程的整合，也就是对哪些教学内容和问题、在什么教学时机、如何使用信息技术等做出决策。

教育技术在20世纪末发生了革命性的变化，21世纪它的发展和变化还将更加令人惊叹，但是教育技术的这种变化是进展而不是革命。
教育技术的起源
“教育技术”可以追溯到原始部落社会，最早的文化用象形文字或图画等记录和传播。
“教育技术” 是伟大人类历史长河中人们在长期的实践中积累的成功经验、发明、创造以及失败教训的产物。

1963年，James Finn在为一项由国家教育协会赞助的技术发展项目的前言中写到了“教育技术”

观点的变化
technology 一般的情况下是指小器具、器械、机器或设备。 Muffoletto(1994)
对于教育者来说，自1920年到80年代中期，大都被认为是收音机、电视、 教育电影，80年代以后则改认为是计算机。 Cuban,1986
教育技术对历史的作用是一个过程（方法）而不是产品。 Saettler(1990)
技术不是机器和设备的集合，而是活动的方式。
