我暑期实践及调查的地点是我的家乡---独山村。独山村位于陕西省岐山县故郡乡，它包含了七个村民小组，分别是一组沟底组、二组划东组、三组南星组、四组划西组、五组北星组、六组后村组、七组后沟组。共有村民四千三百七十余人。
独山村地处于山脚下三千米处，属于丘陵地带，耕地大多都处于坡地，无法灌溉，所以村民的农业收入比拟少，几乎是靠天吃饭。幸好天公作美，风调雨顺，独山村的农民很少欠收。
当前，党中央立足全面建设小康社会、构建社会主义和谐社会的战略高度，做出了建设社会主义新农村的战略部署，提出要培养新型农民，这就要对农民的生活水平以及农村的建设提出了新的更高要求。
农业、农村、农民问题一直是制约我国国民经济开展的一个重要因素。因此,“三农〞问题也备受关注。从中央到地方，对“三农〞问题的重视力度也在不断的加大。党的十六大报告中关于“三农〞问题的阐述占了很大的篇幅,中央农村工作会议上对“三农〞问题也做了进一步的部署和安排,会议强调：认真贯彻党的十六大、十六届三中和四中全会、中央经济工作会议精神，全面落实科学开展观，贯彻统筹城乡开展的方略，坚持“多予、少取、放活〞的方针，进一步加大农村改革力度，加大对农村投入力度，加大对“三农〞工作领导力度，稳定、完善和强化对农业的扶持政策，切实加强农业综合生产能力建设，大力推进农业科技进步，继续调整农业和农村经济结构，努力实现粮食稳定增产、农民持续增收，促进农村经济社会全面开展。
