He fell off the bicycle and injured his arm.
She was serious injured in a road accident.
1. Most of the old part of the city was destroyed by bombs during the war.2. The accident seemed to pletely destroyed his confidence.
9. destroy vt. 彻底破坏, 摧毁以致不可能修复,
也可指希望、计划等破灭。
