一、本票(Promissory Note)的定义
制票人向另一人签发的,保证自己即期或定期或在可以确定的将来时间,对某一特定人或其指定人或对执票来人,支付一定金额的无条件书面承诺。
A promissory note is an unconditional promise in writing made by one person to another signed by the maker ,engaging to pay ,on demand or at a fixed or determinable future time ,a sum certain in money ,to ,or to the order ,of a specified person or to bearer。

这个承诺是无条件的,是书面的
支付给收款人的是确定的金额
这个支付是在特定的时间进行。
注意:我国票据法只承认银行本票
