habit****惯****性。
短语:be in the habit of有****惯;get/ fall into the habit of染上****惯;form/ make/ have a/ the habit of养成……的****惯;break off/ away from a habit = get out of a habit戒除……的****惯;get somebody into the habit of使某人养成****惯;Habit is second nature****惯成自然;break somebody/ oneself off a habit使某人/自己去掉某一****惯;
用法:habit的后置定语不可以用不定式。
比较: habit通常指由于反复所养成的****惯,一经养成就不易去掉,是可数或不可数名词。如: It is a good habit to eat slowly.
custom常用来指在一个国家,民族或社会集团中公认的行为方式通常把它称为“风俗”。如: It is the custom in America to end a party with a dance. 另一意思是“海关”,通常用大写,复数形式the Customs;
manners通常指一个民族和人民共同遵守的行为方式。manners and customs风俗****惯, manners还可作"礼貌"解。
