Progress in Superhydrophobic Surfaces*

Abstract Surface wetting behavior is of great importance in determining the application of various materials. Manyphysicochemical processes , such as adsorption , lubrication , adhesion , dispersion , friction and so forth are closely relatedwith the wettability of materials. In the last decade , surfaces with ultra hydrophobicity have aroused much researchinterests owing to their potential application in self2cleaning coatings , microfluidics and patible materials and soon. The recent progress in the study of superhydrophobic surface is summarized in three parts. In the first part thecharacterization and influences of wettability are briefly introduced; in the second part new development ofsuperhydrophobic surfaces is summarized from both experimental and theoretical aspects; in the third part the prospect

引言
表面的浸润性与许多物理化学过程,如
吸附、润滑、粘合、分散和摩擦等密切相关。
在催化采油、选矿、润滑、涂饰、防水和生
物医用材料等众多领域中,表面浸润性都有
着重要的应用。因此,研究和开发具有特殊
表面浸润性的材料对加深表面现象认识、扩
展材料应用范围及提高材料应用性能有着
重要的意义。 1
