含义:
绝大多数形容词有三种形式,原级,比较级和最高级, 以表示形容词说明的性质在程度上的不同。
形容词的原级: 形容词的原级形式就是词典中出现的形容词的原形。例如: poor tall great glad bad
形容词的比较级,表示两者(人或事物)的比较。
一般公式为“A +谓语(系动词) +形容词比较级+than B”
含义: A 比 B 更……
eg: Tom is taller than Bill
汤姆比比尔要高(更高)。
最高级:表示三者或三者以上(人或事物)的比较,其中有一个在某一方面超过其他全部。
一般公式为:“A+谓语(系动词) the +形容词的最高级+of (in)+范围”
含义:A 是这一范围中最……的
eg: Winter is the coldest season of (in)a year (of the four seasons).
冬季是一年之中最冷的季节。
同级比较:
“as +形容词原级+as B”
含义: A 和 B 一样……
eg: Cathy learns English as (so) well as Chinese.
凯西的英语和中文学的一样好。
注:第一个as 可以和 so 互换,换成:so + 形容词+as
