The Maldivian located 300 miles southwest of the southern tip of Indian Ocean and 450 miles west of Sri Lanka(斯里兰卡).
Maldives, the gorgeous(宜人的) garland(花环) of islands consists of 26 atolls(环礁),about 1190 islands in all, most of them uninhabited(不受约束的).
Climate
genericly, the year is divided into two monsoon periods: the north-east monsoon or Ruvai lasts from December to March, which are the drier months; the south-west monsoon or Ulhangu lasts from April to November, and is wetter, with more storms and occasional strong winds. Daytime temperatures are about 28°C (82°F) all year.
Islam(伊斯兰教) is the only official religion of the Maldives ,so they do not eat pork and always eat fowls(家禽)and are they most foods.
