Domestic Violence
Domestic violence can happen to anybody.  Studies suggest that 1/5 to 1/3 of all women will be physically assaulted by a partner or ex-partner during their lifetime.  In heterosexual relationships, 95% of all victims are female; and 95% of all perpetrators (行凶者) are male.
How to Stay Safe
Keep a cell phone available to call 110.
If you are in a violent relationship and are afraid, ask neighbors or nearby friends to call the police if they hear violence..
Stay in rooms with more than one exit so you do not get trapped in a room.
Keep an emergency bag with supplies in case you have to leave quickly.
Learn the signs of violence & get out when you see tension building.
Remove all sharp objects nearby.
Make copies of important records like bank accounts and financial information, birth certificates, identity cards, insurance agent, etc. Give them to someone you trust or hide them, preferably outside your home.
If You are Attacked
If an attack is in progress or about to happen, call 110.
Go to a hospital emergency room if injuries are severe. Ask them to document injuries. Ask a nurse to call an advocate (律师) to provide support and help you.
Document injuries with photos and witnesses. You may need them later.
Date Rape
Date Rape is forced or coerced sex between partners, dates, friends, or general acquaintances. Date Rape is the mon form of rape with one in four girls expected to fall victim to rape or attempted rape before they reach 25. Three out of five rapes occur before a woman reaches 18.
In recent years, a new kind of rape threat has reared its ugly head at parties, on campuses and in nightclubs - date rape drugs. Many sedatives (镇静药) have been used as date rape drugs. Rohypnol, GHB and Ketamine are the ones you are most likely to encounter.
