I ask the indulgence of the children who may read this book for dedicating it to a grown-up. I have a serious reason: he is the best friend I have in the world. I have another reason: this grown-up understands everything, even books about children. I have a third reason: he lives in France where he is hungry and cold. He needs cheering up. If all these reasons are not enough,
I will dedicate the book to the child from whom this grown-up grew. All grown-ups were once children-- although few of them remember it. And so I correct my dedication:

About the author
Prior to the Second World War he had achieved fame in France as an aviator. His literary works, among them The Little Prince, translated into over 250 languages and dialects, propelled his stature posthumously(于死后,于身后) allowing him to achieve national hero status in France.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry had crashed in the Sahara desert. When a person look down at the world from a great height of 30, 000 feet ,he would have some different thoughts from others.

The Second World War destroyed the life of people and destroyed the good faith of people. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry began to rethink the value of human existing , think of our mind which is replaced by products and goods .

There are many beautiful sentences, leaving me deep impression
If someone loves a flower, of which just one single blossom grows in all the millions and millions of stars, it is enough to make him happy just to look at the stars. He can say to himself, "Somewhere, my flower is there…" But if the sheep eats the flower, in one moment all his stars will be darkened… And you think that is not important!
