Teaching aims and demands:
1. Revision Content:
1)To identify main points to get a general impression of different people.
2)To talk about yourself and others.
3)To identify information about different people from their profiles.
4)To write a personal profile of yourself
Important Points:
1)phrases: live in a flat, be clever at, call sb. sth. be born, tall and slim, have black hair in a ponytail, love/enjoy doing, wear glasses, polite and helpful, score 15 goals in 12 matches, a member of the Music Club, meters tall, talk on the phone with, look for things on the , I want to be a ….. when I grow up, come from, work hard, each other, at the weekend
Difficult Points:
1)To use the simple present tense to talk about things.
2)To use everyday expressions for greetings and introductions.
3)To make requests and respond appropriately.
4)To use vocabulary to talk about sports.
Teaching aids: multi-media
Teaching methods: Practicing Task-based
Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Presentation
1) Ask students: If you meet a new classmate and want to introduce yourself, what will you say to him/her?
Students greet their partners using these words or phases:
Hello. Hi! Good morning. How are you?
I’m…………
My name is …..
What’s your name?
2) Ask one student e to the front to introduce himself. He should say like this:
My name is….. I am ……years old.
I live in……. I have ……hair and …..eyes.
I love ……
Invite some students to talk about the student according to the introduction. They may ask some other questions.
Step 2: Practice
1)Ask students to make a conversation.
Suppose they are new friends and they try to find out more information about their new friends.
They should finish the task in pairs.
Then choose some pairs to show their own conversations.
