文档介绍:Patterns and Pattern Classes
A pattern is characterized by the order of the elements of which it is made, rather than by the intrinsic nature of these elements. The name of feature is used often in the pattern recognition literatures to denote descriptors. A pattern class is a family of patterns that share mon properties. mon pattern arrangements used in practice are: vectors (for qualitative descriptors) and strings and trees (for quantitative descriptors).
