浅析唐代商人社会地位的变迁
摘要唐代的统一为商业的发展提供了一个相对稳定的空间,商人作为商品经济的不可或缺的组成要素,其社会地位可以反映出某一时期的经济发展状况。唐初,统治者依旧推行重本抑末的思想,商贾被称为“贱类”“杂类”。理绥《试论唐代商人社会地位的变化及其限度》中国知网
商人处于传统的“士农工商”的末位,不为统治者所重视。中唐以后随着商品经济的发展导致统治者不得不正确的对商人的作用进行定位,加之门阀氏族势力的衰弱和均田制的破坏,统治者开始意识到商业的重要性,并开始对商人进行扶持,出现了扶商的政策。商人社会地位出现了变化,中唐以后商人的社会地位慢慢地提高,商人被人们所重视,其社会地位的提高进一步促进了商品经济的繁荣,为唐代的商品经济的发展做出了不可磨灭的贡献。
