Action Research and Its Application In Teaching Reading

Abstract: The core of action research is the teachers’ self-reflection during the teaching activities. This thesis mainly describes the problems of English reading strategies that senior students encountered, and applying action research method to improve the students’ reading ability. The teaching result shows that students’ employing reading strategies can do a great help on their reading. Students who frequently use more of reading strategies tend to be more essful in prehension.
