The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is widely recognised as a reliable means of assessing whether candidates are ready to study or train in the medium of English. This Test is designed to give future IELTS candidates an idea of whether their English is at the requried level.
IELTS is owned by three partners, the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the British Council and IDP Education Australia (through its pany, IELTS Australia Pty Limited).
What is the test format?
Academic 学术类
For candidates taking the test for entry to undergraduate or postgraduate studies or for professional reasons.
General Training 培训类
For candidates taking the test for entry to vocational or training programmes not at degree level, for admission to secondary schools and for immigration purposes.
IELTS Listening
雅思听力考试的特点:
1. 4 sections, 40 minutes(10min.), 40 items
2. 一遍性
3. 每个 section后有空白时间审题
(Section 1,2,3, 一次审5题,section 4—10题)

section 1: Survival English (C)
租房,购物,旅游,咨询(基本信息的填写:人名,数字,地名,场景名词)
section 2: Survival English (M)
图书馆,工作,特色旅游,娱乐,日常生活
