Over 200 Operators Planning WiMAX Deployments
Last year iSuppli and others predicted that
WiMAX would primarily serve as a
substitute for traditional copper lines in
developing markets
According to Telegeography, “… it has
e obvious that WiMAX will be a
global technology.”
There were over 117 works in the
world with 14 works planned
for North America before the Sprint
announcement– and there are now
more than 200 operators listed in
TeleGeography’s WiMAX Tracker

WiMAX Market Applications: Fixed and Mobile
• WiMAX will be deployed in numerous WiMAX Equipment Forecast, $M

– Fixed Wireless backhaul for WiFi and/or
