Greetings and introduction:
Good afternoon, everyone. My name is Wu Hui. I’m from Hunan institute of science and technology . I’m very glad to have an opportunity to be here. My speech is analysis for Section A(1a-1c) of Unit 5 published by People’s Education is made up of six parts. It includes teaching material analysis, teaching methods, studying methods, teaching procedures,blackboard design and self-reflection.
Part one. Teaching material analysis
Status and function
The topic of this unit is about talking about consequences. It’s close to the daily life, so we’d better raise the students learning interest first.
This lesson is the frist period of Unit5. It’s an important lesson.
Analysis of the students
The students in Grade Eight have mastered nearly 800 vocabularies. They can make up simple conversations and write short stories. Students are very creative. They like to imitate and challenge. They want to learn English well to get good grades.
Teaching aims and demands
1 By the end of this lesson, the students should know how to talk about consequences:”If you do,you will …”
2 By the end of the class, the students can express the sentences frequently,the abilities of reading,writing,listening munication can be improved.
3 Train the students’ ability of working in pairs and groups.
