Step 1 Warming up
Show some pictures of the story of a tortoise(乌龟)and a snail(蜗牛)on the screen. Then talk about what tenses are used in their dialogues.
Step 2 Revision
Find out the following sentences in the text and tell what tenses are used in them.
We’ll be taking a flight to o in northern Africa.
We’ll be travelling by camel with local guides, camping in tents and sleeping on the ground.
Since we’ll be walking for almost two weeks, I’ll need to buy a large backpack in advance to carry my supplies of food and water.

将来进行时:
主要表示将来某一时间正在进行的动作,或表示要在将来某一时间开始,并继续下去的动作。
语法构成:
将来进行时是由“shall/will + be + 现在分词”构成的。
1. Don't phone me between 8:00 and 10:00. We ______________________(have) classes then.
比较:
2. a. Toby ________________________(climb) in the Himalayas next Tuesday.
b. Toby __________________________(climb) in the Himalayas all next week.
3. a. We ______________________(have) an English class tomorrow morning.
b. We ______________________________ (have) an English class at 8:20 tomorrow morning.
Summary:
1. 谈论在将来很长一段时间仍然在进行的动作。
. I will be visiting Europe next week.
2. 谈论在将来某个时间点前开始的动作并且很可能延续下去。
. Toby will not be in London next Tuesday. He will be climbing in the Himalayas.
3. 表达预定的将来动作或对将来的预测。
. Tom won’t be cutting the grass. (fact, without intention)
汤姆将不割草。
Tom won’t cut the grass. 汤姆拒绝割草。
4. 表示有礼貌的询问其他人的未来打算。

●1. 两者基本用法不一样
将来进行时表示将来某时正在进行的动作,一般将来时表示将来某时将要发生的动作。如:
What ________you ____________(do)this time tomorrow? 明天这个时候你会在做什么呢?
What _______ you _______________(do )tomorrow? 你明天干什么?
●2. 两者均可表示将来,但用将来进行时语气更委婉,比较:
When __________ you ___________________________(finish) these letters?
你什么什候处理完这些信件?(直接询问,如上司对下属)
When _________you __________________________(see) Mr White?
你什么时候见怀特先生?(委婉
