The ultimate(最终的) explanation of an individual’s personality is the molecular structure(分子结构) of the genes(基因), located in the chromosomes(染色体).
Environment
Among the factors that exert pressures on our personality formation(形成) are the culture in which we are raised(凸显的); the norms(规范) among our family, friends, and social groups; and other influences that we experience.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
One of the most widely used frameworks for classifying personalities. 100-question personality test asks how people feel & act in particular situations.
Classifications on four scales bined for 16 personality types (INTJ, ESTJ, etc.)
1. Extroverted(外向的) or Introverted(内向的) (E or I)
2. Sensing (感觉)or Intuitive(直觉) (S or N)
3. Thinking or Feeling (T or F)
4. Perceiving(感知) or Judging(评价) (P or J)

3. Conscientiousness(尽责的) - Measure of reliability

5. Openness to experience(对经验的开放性) - Range of interests & fascination with novelty
