Abstract Based on the economic analysis model of small type energy storage heat-pump air-conditioner, the
calculation formula of payback period in the static economy condition were discussed, and the correlative factors
were analyzed which have effect on the length of payback period. Finally, the heat-pump energy storage
air-conditioner is found that it is not fit for all users. Whether one can recover the initial investment of small
heat-pump energy storage air-conditioner in a short term depends on local power policy and specific service
condition of the air conditioner.
