A: agree on (upon)表示“就······方面取得一致意见”,含有双方或多方商定而形成统一看法的意思。往往是人或团体组织的复数词语作主语,介词on(upon)后常接“计划、协议、条件”等方面的词语。有时为了强调,on短语部分可以提前。
例如:Both sides agreed on these terms. 双方都同意这些条件。
They agreed on a date for the next meeting. 他们就下次会议的日期达成了协议。
On this we can agree, no sale before January. 就这一点,我们可以达成协议,元月份之前不销售。
B: agree to后接计划、建议、条件等名词时,to为介词。这时agree to通常含有主语在看法上和对方一致,而且还意味着同意合作的意思。有时主语含有答应某事,但实际上并不赞成的意思。可用于主动词态和被动词态。用于被动词态时,介词to可保留也可省略,不过在现代英语中,to省略的情况比较常见。to后接原形动词,表示“同意做(某事)。但此用法不能用于被动词态。
例如:I told him about my proposal and he at once agreed to it. 我把我的建议告诉他,他立刻同意支持。
They agree to the proposal only under protest. 只是在抗议的情况下,他们才允许了建议。
They terms have now been agreed (to). 这些条件已得到同意。
He agreed to get someone to help us. 他同意找人来帮我们的忙。
C: agree with后接人或表示事物之类的名词、动名词、从句等。
①表示同意某人或某人的意见、想法、分析、解释等(即持同一观点):
I don’t agree with you. 我不同意你的意见。
They agreed with this idea. 他们同意这个想法。
I agree with what you say. 我同意你说的。
②表示“(食物、天气、工作等)对…适宜”:
The weather does not agree with me. 这种天气对我不适宜。
Hard work does not agree with him. 艰苦的工作对他不适宜。
③表示“与…一致”:
A verb must agree with its subject in person and number. 动词必须和它的主语在人称和数方面保持一致。
