Since ancient times, scholars are bound up in climbing. In the classical poetry of China, climbing is not only an activity, but also a symbol, plex. Having originated from THE BOOK OF SONGS, climbing, as a theme of literature, constantly appears in the Chinese literary. At the same time, it has evolved into one of the main themes in poetic creation, and even given the first priority. With the flourishing of Ci poetry, bines with florid form and remote artistic conception of poems during the Tang-Song period, so a large number of Climbing Ci has been wrote. With this, Climbing Ci plays an important role in the history of Ci Poetry. By focusing on Climbing, this thesis is devoted to revealing Climbing Ci in north song dynasty, and analyzing its emotional contents and artistic features. And on this basis, we can find the value of Climbing Ci in north song dynasty in the history of literature, especially in Ci poetry history.
This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is introduction, the conception of Climbing Ci will be defined and the literature review, research circumstances will be summarized. The second part mostly discuss the emotion contains of Climbing Ci in north song dynasty. As a meaningful activity, not only can climbing break through space-time limit, but climbing can also transport visitors far outside the confines of routine existence, those produce some particular emotional experiences for people in the Song Dynasty. Due to the different trigger points, those emotional experiences can be divided into three different groups: melancholy, heroic, and leisurely. The third part is the artistic features of Climbing Ci in north song dynasty. The main artistic features of Climbing Ci are the extension of speech context and the intersection of space-time. Climbing high can widen people’s field of vision, and bring fresh experiences to them. Climbing high also can take people away from daily life, and take them to the vast world. This provid
