After watching The Young Victoria and The Queen, I’m impressed by the greatness of two queens and their contributions to their country. They both devote the whole life to their people and under their rules, England turns to be a country with strong power and plays a much more important in the world’s affairs.
It is known to us that Victoria is the monarch of longest reigning in the British history, which reaches about 64 years. During her reign, England has e the most powerful and prosperous country among the whole world. It can be proved form the famous phrase “The empire on which the sun never sets.” During this period, the economy and culture has gained huge prosperity and the constitutional monarchy has been fully developed. It is natural to regard the Queen Victoria as the symbol of peace and prosperity.
The Young Victoria mainly describes the life of her young time. The director wants to show two major aspects of her life, including political career and her process of love.
Actually, her childhood is not happy and living in a Palace made her extremely bored. At the same time, she is not satisfied that her mother is in the control of John, the private secretary. Victoria is the only heir, so she is born in the stage of fighting for political power. What’s more, the female identity puts
