摘要:《简爱》是19世纪英国批判现实主义女性小说家夏洛蒂·勃朗特的不朽之作。以女主人公简爱的经历为主线,讲述了一个坚强,独立,自尊与自信的女性爱情故事,塑造了一位值得赞美,歌颂的女教师形象。文章讨论了简爱的反抗意识,集中反映在她为自由,平等,独立和女性尊重而战。在盖茨黑德,简爱由顺从到为生存而战,在劳渥德,她为女性尊重和平等而战,也为拥有平等爱而战。最后她赢得了罗切斯特的爱,过着幸福的生活。简爱的性格发展反映了维多利亚时期女性为获得自由和平等的梦想,与此同时,她为以后的女权主义的发展奠定了基础。

On Jane Eyre’s Rebellion Consciousness in Jane Eyre

Abstract: Jane Eyre is the masterpiece of Charlotte Bronte, who is a famous talented realist and woman novelist. This thesis discusses the rebellious character of Jane, which reflects in her struggle for freedom, respect, independence and equality. In Gateshead, Jane Eyre’s character develops from obedience to rebellion for mere survival. In Lowood, she rebels for respect and equality. Jane Eyre also struggles hard for equal love, in the end she wins Richester’s love and lives happily. Jane Eyre’s character development reflects woman’s dream in Victorian age to obtain freedom and equality. In the meantime, she sets a good example for women and is a good model for women forever.
