Power system planning, design and operation require careful analysis in order to evaluate the overall performance, safety, efficiency, reliability and economics. Power engineering domain uses both models and classic methods of operational research and the most recent ones too, based on artificial intelligence, for resolving a large number of optimization problems. The modern interconnected power systems plex, having usually thousands buses and branches. Therefore, manual analysis and calculation of the performance and operating regimes is time consuming and often unfeasible. putational efforts are very much simplified due to the availability of efficient programs and powerful puters. The main purpose of this paper is to present an educational toolbox elaborated in Object Pascal language, using Delphi environment. This toolbox is designed to solve power engineering optimization problems. The classic operational research solving methods are used, for some linear and nonlinear programming problems, respectively for some optimization problems concerning graphs theory. The professional type programs have al
