ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a theoretical approach to model the value of a media service user experience. We define a media service as a mechanism to generate desirable user experience that is delivered across a multi-device ecosystem for informational/entertainment purposes. The position taken in this approach is that the user experience of service, when delivered well, across multiple devices, is a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Alternatively, each touch-point of a service, which the consumer experiences, while important, is even more crucial as a piece of the entire service’s user experience aggregated over time. We propose use of Kansei Engineering approach to refine the user experience design of service iteratively.
