ABSTRACT
Geographic Information System (GIS) enables students to extract geographic data and bine it in new ways related to their need of technological issues. Computer technology currently used makes these specialized data available to some other people anizations. Results of GIS studies can also be stored and displayed. This provides valuable planning tool for managers and other officials in anticipating long-term scientific evaluations for the targeted environments. Presently, only the students from Environmental Sciences, Geography or Geographic Information Technologies have a chance to receive different mandatory or elective courses in GIS related subjects. However, puter engineering curriculum does not include the necessary or at least fundamental GIS courses for the undergraduate students. Besides, these students are the only people who will deal with the GIS databases for the stored information, and having the necessary technological skills like preparing web interfaces to display, operati
