摘要
约翰·凯奇(John Cage,1912-1992),美国作曲家。作为二十世纪在国际上
具有广泛影响的作曲家,他的音乐创作与音乐思想强烈地冲击了西方音乐的传统,
拓展了音乐艺术的界域。对约翰·凯奇音乐创作与音乐思想的深入研究,不仅加
深我们对西方二十世纪音乐的认知,对探索音乐艺术发展亦具积极意义。
本文以约翰·凯奇的艺术生活及音乐创作为线索,通过分析他的代表性作品
与音乐思想,对约翰·凯奇进行深入研究,并从中观察二十世纪西方音乐的发展
变革,也对西方音乐史编纂的一些问题进行思考。
本文第一章将约翰·凯奇的音乐创作划分为早期、打击乐与预置钢琴时期、
求新图变时期、后期四个部分,对约翰·凯奇的艺术生活进行梳理,并对其各时
期主要作品进行分析。第二章尝试对约翰·凯奇音乐创作进行评析,提出了若干
问题,诸如“历史”对约翰·凯奇评价的变化,约翰·凯奇的“先锋性”,为什
么是约翰·凯奇,做进一步的研究探讨。

Abstract
John Milton Cage (1912-1992) is an poser. As one of the most
posers in the 20th Century, position and musical ideas strongly
impact the western music tradition and expand the boundaries of music art. In depth
study of his works and music ideals not only deepen our cognition to the western
music of the 20th century,but also have the positive significance for further exploring
the music art development
Based on John Cage’s life experiences positions, this paper analyses his
important works and ideals in his life. With John Cage as the focus, this paper also
observes changes of western music of the 20th century, and reflects on some problems
of Historiography.
As shown in Chapter 1, John Cage'positions style is divided into 4 periods:
early experience position,percussion and prepared piano,fresh ideal, and
final period. His important works in his life are analyzed. In the second chapter, the
author puts forward some problems such ment on aspects of reception,
historiography raised by John Cage’positions, the pioneering of John Cage and
