Abstract
Objective:Based on systematically review of past dynasties’ documentation and
tutor's many years of clinical experiences,this study focus on the clinical effects and
mechanism of Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian Fang,and is aimed at finding a new view to treat
depression,with the way bined the Chinese medicine theory and modern research
method. Methods:60 patients who were diagnosed as depression according to the
diagnostic standard of depression MD-Ⅲ with TCM syndrome of binding depression
of phlegm-heat and qi,were randomly divided into two groups:Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian
Fang treating group,which group were treat with Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian Fang
decoction to clear phlegm and heat(30 cases)and Deanxit pill's control group, which took
Deanxit pills(30 cases). Results:The clinical result showed that total effective rate was
% in treating group and % in control group. These results proved the
Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian Fang has good effect and no toxic and side effect to depression
as well as Deanxit pill(P>). What’s more,Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian Fang has better
effects on some special TCM clinical symptoms than Deanxit pill (P< ) .
Conclusions:Mengshiguntan Pill Jiajian Fang decoction has evident effects in reducing
the scores of HAMD and SDS,and does have the actions of Clearing heat and
transforming phlegm,regulating qi and relieving uneasiness. It is obviously effective on
the treatment of depression with TCM syndrome of binding depression of phlegm-heat and
qi.
