Abstract
As the growth in the living standard and people’s feeling of beauty, English films are more and more favored in Chinese market. The translation of English film title has been criticized by some translators. On the one hand, all sorts of the translations of film titles are not inconsistent with the original names and the theme of films. On the other hand, the title translation emphasize on the violence and love story.
Film translation is different from other translations. It should be added into some words that not belong to original name according to the reality. In order to adapt needs of market, the translation can be totally different from original name. But the translation of film titles ha rules to follow.
This paper mainly aims at discussing the different factors affecting translation of film titles. The author will take some examples of translations affecting by different factors, such as culture, genre and audience, from which translators can learn some strategies. The translators should pay attention to the factors. Then film title translation can be more proper and attractive.

摘要
随着和审美情趣的不断提高,英文电影在中国市场上越来越受青睐,也涌现了许多耳熟能详的电影片名。然而,不少英语电影译名却遭到了很多保守的翻译工作者的批判:一是市场上所见译名却是五花八门,根本不顾及电影英文原名和主题;另一方面,为了吸引观众眼球,片名常常过多突出或影射暴力和感情纠葛,显得庸俗和夸张。电影片名不同于一般的翻译,它会因实际需要而被故意加进片名中原本没有的意义,为了适应本土市场,电影片名翻译甚至可以改动得原先完全不一样。但是,英语电影片名的翻译也是有章可循的。
本文主要讨论不同因素对电影名翻译的影响。作者用一些例子阐述了文化,题材和观众对翻译的影响,使翻译人员学习到一些翻译方法。翻译人员应该注意这些因素,使电影名的翻译更准确更具吸引力。
