和中国类似,快速的人口增长和的交通出行需求、越来越多的私家车使用、日渐严重的交通拥挤和空气污染使得拉丁美洲国家也面临着严重的城市交通问题。而这些拉美国家的对策,均是大力发展公共交通,通过合理的投资和长期的建设,建立成熟而有效的公共交通系统。本文主要就TCRP关于拉丁美洲公共交通的权威调查报告《创新——拉丁美洲的巴士,城市轨道和其他公共交通的运作》做一个评介,介绍这些城市在公交运作,土地利用,财政支持,联合开发,乘客服务等方面的创新,作为国内的公共交通规划、建设和运营的参考。

The review of “Innovations in Bus, Rail, and Specialized Transit Operations in Latin America”

With their rapid population growth, increasing traffic demand due to the fast economic development increased usage of private automobiles, increased traffic congestion and air pollution, the Latin America countries, reflect similar transportation situations as China is facing. Many big cities in Latin America countries have established mature and essful transit system including Mass Rapid Transit, BRT as well as regular bus system. From this paper, through the eyes of the TRB experts, we could obtain the new innovations in operation, land use, finance, etc. in certain representational cities of Latin America. This, by providing opportunities to learn from foreign experience, makes a good reference for addressing public transport problems and issues, as well as indicating Public Transit’s development trend interiorly.
