摘要
版画从诞生之日起,其发展便依附于社会经济、文化、科技等条件背景。在中国
版画的历史进程中,随着社会的变更,经历过多次高潮和低谷。上世纪 80 年代中期,
中国版画又一次迎来大的发展。改革开放和社会政治经济的巨变带给中国美术界新的
思潮,版画也自然受到这股思潮的冲击,展现出新的面貌。首先发生转变的是学院版
画教育,新老教师的更替带来了新的教学方式和学术氛围,三版教育的蓬勃发展也改
变了过去版画的单一格局。学院版画教育的改变直接导致了版画创作者的转变,通过
彦涵、徐冰、苏新平三位版画家在这一时期的作品可以看出传统的版画语言已经发生
改变,创作者们突破了传统的造型和色彩观念,脱离旧有的审美习惯,追求版画的本
质特点,创造出新的版画图式,进行了一场视觉革命。版画的这些新转变在 80 年代
中期至 90 年代中期这段时间表现最为突出,所以称这一时期为中国版画的转型期。
同时转型期在中国版画发展的历史上是有重要意义的,它不仅改变了持续了 50 年的
新兴版画运动留下的中国版画的固有面貌,也决定了 90 年代后期至今中国当代版画
发展的基本方向。
