Research on the outdoor sports on the basis of
the academic analysis and the investigation of the practice
ABSTRACT
In the 1980’s, outdoor sports was introduced into China. With the development
of the Chinese economy, outdoor sports have a great development recently. Outdoor
sports e to be a fashion in China. Moreover, the research on the outdoor sports
in China is very poor. Therefore the dissertation about the outdoor sports has the
great importance. For the development of Chinese outdoor sports, the dissertation
makes a deep study of the phenomenon with the investigation and visiting the experts.
The main conclusions are the followings:
1. With the industrialization and civilization of the European countries, modern
outdoor activities e to be popularized. But only after 1970’s, some special
outdoor activities e the kind of sports. Outdoor sports is all kinds of outdoor
experience through physical activity under the natural environment, such as
mountains, forest, rivers, seas, desert, altiplano, etc, in order to satisfy the
need of improving the body, relaxing, municating and adventure. Outdoor
sports show the main characteristics: firstly, the inosculation of relationship of
the man and the nature during the experience. Secondly, the activity is greatly
influenced by the outings. Thirdly, the experiences have the characteristics of
discovery and challenge.
2. The participants in the outdoor sports are between 26 and 35. The level of
their education is very high. The types of careers are mainly technique people,
manager, businessman, the level of whose e is higher. The characteristics of
the participant's behavior are the followings: firstly, the participants have
usually engaged the outdoor sports for 1 to 4 years. Every year they have 6 to 12
times to experience outdoor sports. They usually do it with other enthusiasts or
friends in the suburb, rural place and the neighborhood
