General Sampling Techniques
一般采样技术
Sample within close proximity to the area where
work will be performed; this doesn’t mean at
the manways of confined spaces. Use extensions
to reach remote locations if appropriate.
在作业区附近采样,这并不表示在有限空间的作业通道里采样。在
必要的时候采取延伸措施以便到达比较远的地方。
Make sure you can safely access the areas to be sampled.
首先要确定你可以安全到达采样区。
Sample around vents, drains, sewer openings, flange joints, valve packing, pump seals and etc.
在排气管、排水管、下水道口、法兰接头、阀门衬垫、泵密封处等处采样。
Move slow during sampling efforts; as it takes a few seconds for substances to enter the instruments and for the instruments to respond to the samples.
在采样的时候慢慢移动,物质进入仪器要花几秒钟时间,仪器对样品的回应也要花一些时间。

Always watch the displays on the MSA gas testers to verify that a sample reading doesn’e in just below the alarm set point. Additional testing may be needed to detect potential problems.
不断观察MSA气体检测仪的显示屏,确定样品读数不会刚好是低于报警设定值一点点。
可能需要进行额外的测试以检测隐患。
If possible, always sample within the breathing zone of involved personnel.
如有可能,始终在相关人员的呼吸区取样。
Verify that sampling equipment functions properly prior to its usage. This should be done prior to its first use on any given shift.
