中国水墨人物画是适应于自己民族审美心理、审美习惯的,同时,水
墨人物画所能体现的“效果”又受制于自身所运用的工具材料。随着西方
绘画技术的传入,中国画传统的教育模式和学习方法都有了很大的改变。
水墨人物画的创作方法和表现技巧得以丰富改进。相对传统的水墨人物画
讲究“书法用笔”,“意象造型”而言,当代水墨人物画的创作方法和创作
理念有了很大改变。西方绘画技术和当代学院教育对水墨人物画的发展产
生了深远的影响。西方绘画技术的传入扩展了水墨人物画的表现空间。同
时,西方绘画技术也影响了水墨人物画的创作手法。“笔墨”和“造型”成
为争论的焦点。就写实性的水墨人物画来言,一些作品依靠素描的手段,
在创作过程中采取制作的方式,这类作品往往能在大型展览中获得评委和
观众的青睐。但这种制作性的“水墨人物画”能否更好的发挥水墨人物画
的笔墨优势能否使作品的艺术性和真实性达到和谐统一?这是个值得探
索的问题。水墨人物画发展到今天,相对于工笔人物画﹑花鸟画﹑山水画
而言还没有达到一个理想的高度,因此它的发展空间相对更大,值得探索
的方面也更广阔。目前制作性的水墨人物画的贡献何在?制作性水墨人物
画是否是水墨人物画的理想状态?当代水墨人物画的出路何在这是本文
着眼的重点所在。
