话轮转换理论下本族语与非本族语讲话者之间的媒介交流分析

摘要
随着计算机和网络技术的不断发展,以及教育理论的长足进步,计算机辅助教育的
内容发生了巨大的变化。教育呈现出新的时代特征,教育思想和理论发生了-些重大变革,
人们开始提出新的虚拟学习社区和学习环境模式。如何将其模式实现并促进教学成为了
教育领域-个焦点。本文在“第二人生”(Second Life) 这-新兴的虚拟学习环境中展开实
验, 探讨了话轮转换理论下本族语和非本族语讲话者在 SL 虚拟学习环境中针对特定话
题在线交流话语的分析。
本文以话轮转换理论(turn-taking theory)为基础,以非本族语讲话者(烟台大学英语
专业大二一个班的学生)和本族语讲话者(指美国佐治亚州立大学的美国研究生和教授)
为研究对象,通过对实验录制视频的转写材料进行以定性研究为主的数据分析,揭示该
虚拟环境中本族语和非本族语讲话者在线交流中的话轮数量,频率,时间间隔的异同和
使用反馈语,特殊语言符号和同时发话的特点, 探究本族语和非本族语讲话者在线交
流中话轮获得,话轮保持和话轮放弃的异同, 以及分析本族语和非本族语讲话者在“第
二人生”虚拟环境平台的交流与自然环境中的交流有什么差异性。以期在英语交流中能
对改进非本族语讲话者的话轮转换技巧有所启示和指导作用, 从而最大限度地减少或
避免交际中沉默和话轮中断的产生, 实现交际的顺利进行。

Abstract
With the continuous development puter work technology, as well as
educational theory making great strides, the content puter aided education (CAE) has
hit huge changes. As education endowed with new age characteristics, and along with
educational thought and theory that may have undertaken some significant transformations,
people have started to propose the new virtual munity and the learning
environment pattern. It has e the focal point in the educational field that how to realize
the pattern and how can be used to promote education. By means of an experiment in Second
Life, a newly emerging virtual munity, the paper investigates the online
communication for specific topics between NS and NNS under the theory of Turn-taking.
With turn-taking theory as its theoretical framework, NNS (a natural class of sophomore
English major students in Yantai University), and NS (graduates and professors in ia
State University) as its research participants, this study, by analyzing the experimental
recordings qualitatively, tries to reveal the features of the munication between NS
and NNS in turn-taking in terms of quantity, frequency and intervals and in the use of
backchannel
