Sternoclavicular joint
1)Articular surface
It is formed by the sternal end of the clavicle and sternum and 1st costal cartilage.
2)Capsule
is attached to the margins of the articular surfaces.

3) Articular disc (fibrous cartilage )
divides the synovial joint into the partments.
4) Ligaments includes
Ant. and Post. sternoclavicular lig., and
costoclavicular lig.

2. Shoulder joint
Articular surface
* Head of the humerus↔Glenoid cavity of the scapula
* The head is larger and the fossa is shallower.
* The glenoid labrum deepens the fossa (glenoid cavity)

2. Shoulder joint
2) Capsule is attached medially to margin of the glenoid cavity, latterally to anatomical neck of the humerus.
It is the thinner and relaxable松弛,special inferior wall of the capsule.

5) Movements

Musculotendinous (Rotator)cuff
It is formed by the tendens of subscapularis, superaspinatus, inferaspinatus and teres minor.
The musculotendinous cuff surrounds and protects the shoulder joint. But, at the inferior to the joint, there are no muscular tendons.
Notice: At the inferior to the shoulder joint, *there are no lig. and **tendons of muscles. ***The inferior wall of the articular capsule is thinnest. So, the joint is easy to be dislocated inferiorly.
