Online game servers are the core of online games. Currently most of the online social games use server group,it means the different functional serve on the different servers. In the practical operation, not only the stability of every serve program must be ensured, but also the performance of online game servers should be improved to cover more players. Through the analysis on the game servers developed by pany, and its development direction, this thesis modifies the functional classification, fine tuning the architecture and add some ponents which makes the game meet the demand of the operating department and running smoothly. The job of this text includes following parts as bellow: 1. With the situation of online games industry of our country, it gives a detailed description on the architecture and functionality for game servers. 2. On the basis of our project, it redraws the functionality for servers to make the lobby server take more logic calculation, building the uniform interface between lobby server and DataExchange server and realizing the most of logical calculation on lobby server, such as buying and selling, using property, data updating… .
