摘要:设计了一种二维光子晶体平板,采用平面波展开法对该光子晶体平板结构的带隙进行
模拟,发现该光子晶体禁带内恰好包含红、绿、蓝三基色光,利用时域有限差分法在该光子
晶体平板上设计了基于三基色光的光子晶体全光显示器件, 有望实现微纳全光彩色显示以
及全固态白光照明。

Design of the photonic crystal slab and its application
in visible light

Abstract: A two-dimensional photonic crystal slab has been designed. With the plane wave
expansion method, the band gap of the photonic crystal slab is calculated. It is found that the band
gap covers the wavelength of red, green and blue light, a micro/nanodisplay in a two-dimensional
photonic crystal slab has been designed with the theory of finite difference time domain method.
Therefore, a colorful surface-emitting display can be achieved, we also present a new way to
develop white light illumination bination of red, green, and blue lights.

0 引言
光子晶体是具有不同介电常数的材料按照某种空间有序排列而成的微结构。光在光子晶
体中传播时会受到材料的周期性调制,从而形成类似于半导体禁带的光子带隙,频率落在带
隙内的光将被禁止在晶体中传播。如同人们控制半导体中电子运动一样,由光子晶体做成的
器件可以如人所愿的控制光子运动,从而开辟了人类控制光的新纪元[1]。自 1987 年 [2]
和 [3]各自提出光子晶体的概念以后,光子晶体已成为国际上的研究热点,各
种光子晶体器件如:光子晶体波导[4]、光子晶体滤波器[5]、光开关[6]及光子晶体激光器[7]等
应运而生,然而可见光波段
