现在,我国动力钳大体分开口、闭口钳两种,各有优缺点。主要工作原理是压力源将压力通过输油胶管输入马达,马达主轴转动,经过齿轮系使钳头开口大齿轮转动,同时联接主背钳的输油胶管,将压力输送到背钳油缸,推动运动,经过齿轮副带动颚板相对背钳头主体上的坡板转动一定角度,使颚板总成上的牙板夹紧油管,同时主钳的钳头开口大齿轮转动时,颚板架在制动摩擦力作用下,先不转动,迫使颚板上的滚子沿坡板爬坡,推动颚板及牙板径向移动直至咬紧油管,然后随开口大齿轮转动,实现旋紧或旋开油管螺纹的目的。
但动力钳要可更换板牙,夹持不同规格的抽油管,结构简单、方便拆卸、调整维修方便,制动安全,可靠耐用。这就需要其结构不断的改进与发展。
