Since the reform and opening-up, China' prehensive national strength has improved significantly on the world stage. Therefore, translating the Chinese political documents is conducive to helping the peoples of the world to understand China's political system, principles and policies, as well as political stand. Based on previous studies, bining with translation examples inthe Report on the Work of the Shandong Provincial Government (2013), the writermakes a detailed analysis of the Shandong government work report from three dimensions:lexical, syntactic, and discoursetranslation. In this thesis, examples are offered to demonstrate the translation principles and strategies.
