Preface
This volume contains the invited papers presented at the 9th International Con-
ference “Dynamical Systems – Theory and Applications” held in Ł´od´z, Poland,
December 17–20, 2007 dealing with nonlinear dynamical systems. The confer-
ence gathered a numerous group of scientists and engineers, who deal with widely
understood problems of dynamics met also in engineering and daily life.
Organization of the conference would not have been possible without a great
effort of the staff of the Department of Automatics and Biomechanics of the Techni-
cal University of Ł´od´z. The patronage over the conference has been taken by the fol-
lowing scientific institutions: Mechanics and Machine mittees of the
Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechan-
ics, Polish Association putational Mechanics, and mittee of
Nonlinear Oscillations of IFToMM.
