Abstract
Nanometer-sized Zinc Oxide is a kind of fine chemical product
with high added value, which is thought highly of in both inland and
outland markets. It can be widely used in a broad field of application.
There is a heavy demand of it in the market. But until now, a great
variety of methods which are developed to synthesize the nano-ZnO
mostly have defect of poor product quality or high production cost. So
seeking a new method to synthesize nano-ZnO is still the emphasis of
scientific worker’ s research.
A new method—coordination homogenious precipitation method,
which uses the industrial ZnO as the raw material to synthesize
nano-ZnO, was studied in the paper. It used ammonia water and
ammoniumbicarbonate as the coordination solvents. Coordination
solution of zinc ammine was formed firstly by the reaction of them and
industrial ZnO, which could coexist with the precipitator carbonate ion.
After removing impurities and refining, pure coordination solution of
zinc ammine could be obtained. Then the precursor basic zinc carbonate
was precipitated homogeneously by changing the conditions of the
solution system. After the precursor being dried and calcinated, the
nano-ZnO could be obtained finally. And the method is not coordination
precipitation method or original homogenious precipitation method, it is
a whole new method. This method has simple production process, short
process flow and low cost, endowing it could be industrialized easily,So
it has a great application prospect.
By coordination homogenious precipitation method, nano-ZnO
particles which had controllable particle size and little size distribution,
had been prepared essfully. In the paper, the technological process
